This looks so pretty, I wish I liked it more. I always had this anger that resident evil turned into an action game instead of a horror game, I love the art in this game I feel like horror and action are just cursed to fight what each other is going for. This conversation has been had a lot, but I'm curious, if you increase the speed of the smaller creatures so they are a threat but don't do as much damage and instead you should best kill them with a knife if you react fast enough but are forced to shoot if you don't react fast enough to save ammo for the big dudes and maybe limit ammo or make the big dude not die just fall for a while, if that makes this more intense. This game looks like something special. I really this think game is nice tho.
graphics and the gritty vibe are great but the challenge with enemies is that you only have two shots which is enough to kill one slow enemy and the reload but having to stand still to reload while there are two enemies getting close to you is just hard, the fast enemy is also a challenge because you have to get up high to reload or your dead because he can take more than two shots. Adding the ability to reload while walking would be a game changer (literally). My last critique is that aiming with the arrow keys is weird, if you could aim with your mouse it would require more skill, because of missing shots, and adding a headshot feature would be great because you only have two shots and need to make them count. Adding either one of those features would reduce the difficulty quite a bit, if your looking to do that.
Impossible just using keyboard controls. In fact I think I soft-locked it by going tot he right from the beginning... can't fall through platform. I thought I tried everything, but you have to hit "S" + "Space". Game's still hard as hell the way the controls are. You'd have to memorize where all the zombies are. Edit again: memorization won't even help, because there's a megazombie downstairs of the burning houses who takes more than two shots and who can't be shot from the perch and rips you to shreds. So.
Much, much better. It's mostly about being able to move just slightly faster than them so you can stop and reload. I was actually able to make it to the end of level 1 and see all the cool stuff you put in there (the pools of blood are a nice touch).
My main problem this playthrough was not being able to do many inputs at once. For instance, I'd hit "right" to pull out my gun, hold it and then press and hold "down" to aim down, and then hit "S" to crouch, but then you can't fire the gun unless you release "right", which is a little unintuitive.
This game is pretty wild! Really enjoyed the environments, but the ai of the enemies left a bit to be desired I'll be honest...
(KEEP IN MIND, I RECORDED THIS BEFORE THE FIRST PATCH SO IF ANYTHING HAS BEEN FIXED JUST DISREGARD THEM)
You can't shoot them if they're too close, you can hit them, but they recover so fast that if you try running they catch up already making it pointless. They move pretty frikkin fast so if they wind up getting in your face you can't get far enough to get a shot, and they just want to be in your face at all times, absolutely no respect for personal space lol! My advice would be to slow them down a bit, like zombie just limping, and maybe make their stagger at least long enough to move a few feet away. Would also like to see a better description, maybe whats going on with the world, set it up a bit. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video, and hope to see more updates in the future!
There is "Help" button in menu that opens help screen with all the controls. Also you can open help screen in-game by pressing M button on a keyboard or Back/View button on a gamepad. Thank you!

Hello! Enemies speed and health of that fast enemy were reduced in recent patch.

Hello! I reduced enemies speed in recent patch.
Awesome! Definitely gonna have to give it another shot!
here is my run pretty good environment thank good the villagers don't climb xD
Thank you!
It's too bad that you couldn't map jump to W. It'd be so much easier to jump than with the spacebar. Otherwise, not a bad game.
Hello! Now you can jump on "W" button, I added this in recent patch.
Thank you! :D
Can you put the controls somewhere in-game or in the description. I got them, but only after a decent session of pondering. Otherwise, great game.
There is "Help" button in menu that opens help screen with all the controls. Also you can open help screen in-game by pressing M button on a keyboard or Back/View button on a gamepad. Thank you!
